Blume Bauer

Starting at the age of 2 1/2 years old, Blume could dance before she could use complete sentences. Belly dance is now the passion in her life. Inspired by the great Sedona, Katia, Faizeh, and Krisha - Blume now dances with the troupe, Hiplash. In her spare time, she performs as a solo artist, choreographer, and make-up artist.

Once upon a time there was a little girl who tucked all her mother's scarves into her sailor bikini and did a four-year-old's version of the Dance of the Seven Veils. It came as no surprise to anyone when she grew up to become Faizeh. Currently you can see her performing in Hollywood at Moun of Tunis restaurant or in the Antelope Valley on alternating Fridays at Pars Fine Persian restaurant where she also hosts a dancer showcase on the second Tuesday each month. She also enjoys wowing audiences at special events with her eclectic blend of traditional cabaret styles seamlessly harmonizing with cutting edge tribal and fusion.

Hiplash

Hiplash isn't new to the scene, but these amazing women still manage to stay fresh. Performing Tribal Improvisation locally and all throughout the west coast, Hiplash is also highly sought after for their cutting edge fusion choreographed pieces. Hiplash also teaches its signature ATS style at Blue Scarab.

Mid life laziness drove Katia to look for a creative outlet for a more active lifestyle. What started as a passing interest has blossomed into a semi professional hobby of performance, costume design, teaching and travel to study and experience the various cultures that contribute to the fascinating story of belly dance!

A beautiful dancer from Southern California, Khalida has entranced many audiences. Including winning the Tribaret Category at Hips of Fury!! Khalida will be dancing at our annual DC festival, Day of the Dance and at Moun of Tunis in April. You won't want to miss her, she's fabulous!

Nisaa Benizir

Nisaa Benezir - Originally founded in 1995 as a student gone professional from the local dance classes, is now comprised of performers including teachers, students, professional dancers and members of local troupes who come together to perform under a common name with a common purpose. Nisaa Benezir performs primarily for charity events and cultural events on a voluntary basis and has evolved into much more of a sisterhood.
